Game Developer
Hello, I’m Emre Kara. I started my game development journey with game modding, then I developed my own games. On december 2021, I got accepted to “Game and Application Academy” powered by Google Turkey as one of the 2.000 scholars among 34.080 applications. With the other bursiers I met there, I started to join game jams.
Despite being our first game jam as a team, our game ranked 2nd on Magara Jam#4 which is the biggest game jam in Turkey and one of the top 20 game jams on itch.io. Later we joined IZTECH HyperJam22′ with the same team and our game took the first place. On the both games I was the only game developer in the team.
After these Game Jams, I started working as a Game Developer at Hamlet Games on March 31, 2022. I became a part of the Emberbane team. I am very happy and honored to be involved in the development of Emberbane with my teammates in this process.
Projects I’m working on
Emberbane
Emberbane is a 2D Metroidvania offering precise platforming and combo-driven combat. Harness the power of four elements – fire, water, earth, and air – as you traverse the lands of the gods in a tale centered on revenge and the turmoil it brings.

Doppelgangers (Ranked #2 in Magara Jam #4!)
Doppelgängers is a story-based puzzle-platformer game developed in 72 hours for Magara Jam #4.
I am responsible for the coding part of this project.
